Quick Tips to a Healthier You

Quick Tips to a Healthier You

Your body will not change through wishful thinking. You need a plan of attack, a game plan; some things you can start right now in order to make healthy, long term, lifestyle changes. These changes do NOT need to occur all at once. In order to make your new life manageable, take small steps to reach the greater goal.
Things I did to start my weight loss and healthy lifestyle journey:
Drink more water. I started drinking 16oz of water upon waking, no excuses, no exceptions. Which means plan by taking water with you to bed. having it be the first thing you see helps you remember to drink it. You can even do it in the comfort of the warm bed. Drink water throughout the day and especially before each meal. 8oz of water an hour is completely manageable.
waterI’m sure you have heard that your body is made up of a large amount of water and that for your body to function properly, you must consume it! So why aren’t you DOING it? If I could choose one item off this list to start asap, this would be it. So simple, cost effective and you can control taste by adding oranges, lemon, blueberries…just about anything you can think of! Drinking more water helps in so many ways:
  1. Makes you feel full temporarily because although water doesn’t have calories, it does have weight.
  2. Aids in bowel movements because your body won’t be dehydrated and taking the moisture from your bowels which in turn leads to constipation in some individuals.
